:(  I Am 56 male I just 2 weeks ago found out I have BC. I had problems peeing as far back as 3 years. But no visable blood. I went to see my GP he found no prostate problems with ultea sound. Thought I had uninery infection. By the way had to pee at least every 60 to 90 MIN. only about 2 to 4 Onces.  So then in Oct 2005 I pass A stone first one ever. So I start to see a UR, Nothing on cat, prostate with ultra and psa good. Colonostipy good. Then cisto shows flat tumers On feb 6, on the 8th they do surgery to remove. Have a stint in left drain for kidney. One night hostital. cathiter stayed in  for 5 days. I find out I have high urothelial carcinoma in all three. with no musuler propria invasion. But does say Musculais propria in some tisue. UR will remove stint on the 27 of Feb. Then in 2 weeks BCG for 6 weeks. Some kind of cow thing. I have read every story on this site no one has this exact case to talk about. Is this what they call T1? By the way I am in very good shape. :-/ I do concrete work. I work out in the winter. Never any major health isues other than hemroids. Looking for people, I can help with my story. Also someone that may have info I can use. This site was a great find for me thankyou Windy for doing this for evryone that needs it. Don

i have had the bcg treatment two years ago. wasnt too bad. Froma womens perspective wasnt bad at all. the only bad thing about it is after you have it you have to roll around on all sides to get the liquid to move around for about one hour every fifteen minutes. no big deal. the worst part about it is every time you go to the bathroom for the next 8 hours you have to clean the toilet with bleach….. all i can say is the treatment works. i have been clean for two years now and feel great. it took about 1 and a half years till i actually felt normal and did not have to pee all the time. it feels great . i also would like to tell everyone that if you drink coffee give it up. switch to decaf. it really helps a lot. the cafenation in coffee and chocolate are diuretics which makes you pee more.

:) Thanks Windy, I am very hopful I will keep the updates going as to try and let others learn from my experiance. Monday they take out the stint and then in 2 weeks I start BCG. May I ask why you started this site. By the way what is strange about this is I am a private pilot and I donate my time and airplane over the last 15 years to fly less fortunate children and adults mostly with cancer. To treatment centers. And now I have it and I cant fly them untill I am cured, the FAA says my Medical is invalid. It will take me 2 months to aply then one month after that. Before I can start to fly again alone or with pasengers . I had to stop doing what we call Angle flights. But when I do them agian someday I will have a new understanding of there undertaking. Dont get me wrong I have always been feeling for them. It will just be diferant now. I will also do more Missions than in the past. Don

    Hi Don,

Sorry to hear about your bladder cancer diagnosis. It sounds like your doctor knows what he’s doing. From what you describe I don’t think it was a T1, since it was said no invasion of the muscularis propria, but part of the muscularis propria must be included in the biopsy specimen in order for that invasion to be ruled out. By ‘flat tumor’ I’m pretty sure that means carcinoma in situ or CIS/Tis. That’s still considered a Ta tumor(s). BCG is very effective for it. I hope you get through the treatments without any problems.

Good luck with things and I’m glad you found the site helpful.
    Wendy
