Jeez… Did I get sick.
I had my first scheduled poke and peek on March 22. 3 months after my removal of a non invasive tumour.
That night I pulled my lower back moving a water bottle in my wife’s van.
I started to get chills on Friday night but really didn’t pay much attention to it.
My back pain was also increasing.
On Sunday night, my wife said I was moaning alot while sleeping. I was up several times urinating.Monday morning, I knew for sure something wasn’t right. I went to the hospital.
After the usual poking, proding, and IV’s, I was on my way.I jumped into my bed, did my meds, and went to sleep. An hour or so later, I was up vomiting.
Tuesday and Wednesday that was the extent of my affairs.
I couldn’t eat. It was all I could do to drink fluids and keep my meds in me.
I was running a high fever, 39.7 C at one point. And did I sweat. Quite smelly at that.
Wednesday, late at night, I woke up to urinate. Dark brown with what appeared to be a white mucas. I thought the paint was going to peel off the walls from the smell. The strangest thing, I was able to drink fluids more easily and plentiful immediately following. On Thursday, a scheduled GP. My Dr. wanted to admit me to the hospital…
More poking and proding.
I got lucky though, I guess my Uro WAS listening. He got me squeezed into a CT Scan.
I was able to eat something and keep it in my belly.
I sure did sweat again while sleeping. Buckets. This time it sure smelt alot like the solution they inject for the CT Scan.
Today (Friday) is going well also. More food and fluids, no fever and just antibiotics for pills.I do have another biopsy scheduled for April 23.
My GP is going to get a bone density scan scheduled for me as advised by the ER Dr from Monday.Any body else experience these signs and symptoms?
After my poke and peek, my affected part of my bladder looked like cob webs. I had one reply stating the same time of condition, but that was for a different area and the time after surgery was only 10 days.
After my original surgery to remove the mandarin orange sized tumour, I was in the hospital for another 2-3 hours before I was allowed to leave with a bag. I was told the surgery was a day surgery. But could barely move for 2-3 days. I’m beginning to think that because I’m 37 and used to be in relatively good shape, I was rushing things. Are my new symptoms from my cysto? Are they from complications that may have been brought on from something that was done at post op? Are they from a miss diagnosis?
I guess I’ll learn more as test results roll in.I have lost 10 pounds this week.
I am getting more faith in my Uro. He just phoned me with my CT results from yesterday. Left kidney infection, time for “Some big time Cipro!”
Do the pills ever stop?
Simon.
