Well I have to tell you this past couple of weeks have been no fun. Since I got back from my trip on the seventh I have had intestinal problems. Then my neo-bladder started acting up and I had no control.

I called Doc V and he called in a prescription, but asked me not to take it till the culture came back. Well I tried not to take it but the misery was to great. So I started taking it.

Turns out it was a good thing I started taking it. I did not have a UTI I had a intestinal infection. Apparently that old neo-bladder still reacts like it is still installed in it’s original place. :P

Well things are starting to get better now accept for the cold my wonderful kids gave me. :silly:

Well on the mend now. Just a little congestion left and a lot tired. At least I have my concentration back which is good.

Thank you all for your kind wishes.

I’m glad to know you are starting to feel better from the intestinal bug. The meds are not that much more comfortable and then you have to retrain your gut and neo again. Don’t you wish they would behave. I thought I had a cold but decided it is hay fever the worst case I’ve ever had due to all the tree pollen now. Left me feeling tired all the time and poor concentration. I hope your cold is nicer to you. ((((Hugs)))) Julie

    Charlotte,

Sorry to hear of your discomfort…good thing you listen to your bod and got the meds going and hopefully that infection clears up quickly.

Yes, I agree with Pat. Some of these intestines just want to be intestines…no matter we use them for another purpose. My bladder being a perfect example. I see all kinds of things in mine…pieces of spinich, carrots, chocolate, seeds, and of course this is a result of the fistula I have but I continue to amaze the doctors because I’ve had no discomfort, fever, or infection so far as a result. It does tell me I should pershaps chew my food better before digesting. :S

Intestinal bug huh? I got one of those while on a trip to Hawaii…something i ate…..took quite a while for it to go away and they never did figure out what it was. Glad you got a diagnosis and are on the road to recovery.
And yes…the neo or the Indiana seem to have short term memory losses when the intestines are involved!!
    love ya……..pat
