Returned from my trip to Russia last night. Will take a while to re-enter and heal the blisters on my feet from so much walking. It was a fabulous trip, in spite of them having a record heat wave…It was 104 degrees F the day we spent walking around Moscow!! Why is it always record breaking something or other wherever I go?

Did pick up a brochure from the “American Urological Clinic of Moscow” to give to my urologist! Every specialty seems to have American-trained doctors available.

Welcome back Sara Anne. The month of June and July here was in the 100’s now the rains have arrived so this wee we are in the 90’s. Winter is the time to visit Tucson.
Doing walking tours in 104 degrees doesn’t sound at all appealing. Julie

Very interesting, Rocky. We noted the relative paucity of motorcycles and bikes, and our tour leader (a native of St. Petersburg) told us that most of the year is too cold/snowy so that it is not an efficient “investment.” And you may have read in this morning’s paper that it is 102 F today in Moscow!!

    Sara Anne….who will travel anywhere!!

Welcome back! I’m in Tampa this week and it’s pretty dang hot here too. Being from Colorado this humidity just kills me.

Looking forward to next week when my wife is the Colorado Rocky Mountain Bike Tour. Something like 500 miles bicycling over seven days (one rest day in there somewhere) over 9 mountain passes. Back and forth over the continental divide.

I am part of the support team and SAG vehicle driver so I’m taking the week off work to that and be her cheerleader.

She couldn’t do it last year due to back surgery so she’s really looking forward to it.

It will be MUCH cooler in the mountains and WAY LOW humidity.

Welcome back you have been missed! Hope you had a great time! As for the warm weather we have had days in the 90’s up here and for us that is the seventh level of hell. Hope you can post some pictures of your trip.
