    Active 54 yoa male.
I’m at home doing my research to decide if I go with the Neo or Conduit. Surgery is days away. My question for you Conduit users is regarding placement. I met with the nurse and she put a mark on my abdomen indicating a possible location for my stoma. I normally wear my belt at or just below naval level and like my belt tight. I carry stufff on my belt and a loose belt lets my pants slip down. My concern is that I will not be able to do this any longer. I was hoping the bag would sit below my belt line and be worn under my clothes but I imagine I can’t allow my belt line to impact my stoma. If the Stoma is higher my belt will not allow flow to the bottom of the bag. Can anyone share insights ans personal experience. Thank you. Will.

I think the choice is more dependent upon the skills of your doc. I wish you all the best and hope you take the right decision…

Yes. We only had a 50 minute class so it was an overview before I had to go meet with the Dr. I understood there is some flexibility regarding position. Before I left for the day I asked for, and got a couple urostomy bags so I could wear one for the day to see what it will be like. I’m hoping to get some insight from folks who actually wear the bag and get an idea regarding position related to clothing.

Did you discuss this with the nurse?
