hematuria for many years
Hello, my hematuria was not a concern to my last 2 doctors. i have been having bouts of hematuria for about 9 years. “Don’t worry about it” is what they told me not just once but many times. I really emphasized the bloody pee on my last visit. Finally, I was sent in for a CT scan. I have a very large 2 tumors. TURBT is next. I’m disappointed.with my doctors lack of concern. I’ve been healthy otherwise.

I can’t believe how many doctors are so non-chalant about hematuria. I went to the ER with blood in my urine and luckily the doctor kept looking until they found my tumor. I found a great Urologist and should be starting treatments soon. Yes, we have to advocate for ourselves. Don’t be worried about asking for more opinions and taking care of ourselves. You are on the right track now. Keep moving forward and hoping for the best outcome.
