Help with Bladder Cis
5 years ago I went to 2 urologist for symptoms of frequency and urgency every 2 hours. 2 cytologies came back negative from both urologists, fish test 1 postive and 2 one done came back negative (urologist said 1 was false positive) and negative cystocopies. After 5 years I still have the same symptoms, however, symptoms have not gotten worse but the same. I fear that CIS may have been missed. Could anyone give me their opininon if I have had enough workup to rule out Cis. Would my symptoms have gotten worse throughout the years. I spent so much money 5 years ago on tests and procedures with no answers and just trying to figure out if I should go through it all again.

Cytology and FISH testing is for screening, not diagnosis, and both do produce false positive and negative results.
All I know is my experience with CIS. Nothing you have said suggests CIS to me, but also nothing said rules out a treatable bladder or urinary condition that could respond to treatment and help with urgency and frequency. Many conditions other than cancer can cause those symptoms.
Planning daily life around accessible public restrooms is most unwelcome. I hope you can find help to finally determine the cause of your symptoms.
