Okay so I had a ultrasound done, two 2cm growths were found. They tried to do a cystoscopy under local but failed so I had a ct done. Ct was completely clear!!! pre operation done for cystoscopy under general but because of my medical history I have to have it done in main theaters under a 24 hour stay. Issue is I have found out my urologistson PA is my hubby’s auntie. I feel so violated that she has access to all of my medical history :(.

Could the ct be wrong and the ultrasound be right? or was the ultrasound wrong and ct right? how can they both be so different. I saw both polyps with my own eyes on my ultrasound so something was deffiently on there.

Only after you have a TURB (transurethral resection of the bladder) or
biopsy done under general anesthesia, and the samples are analyzed by a pathologist, can anyone know whether you have bladder cancer or not. Because of this, many urologists do not do a CT scan (which uses a lot of radiation) until AFTER the biopsy results are in. The fact that the other tests are giving conflicting results, tells you why.

Any employee of the doctor, who has access to medical records, is bound by the law to maintain your privacy. I know that does not give you a lot of comfort. Your only alternative would be to find a different doctor.

    Best of luck to you
