Hello everyone. My brother was diagnosed in July 2017 with stage 2 high grade muscle invasive bladder cancer. He completed 4 months of chemo, his uroligist wasnt happy with the results. The bladder wall had thickened more than before his treatments. His last treatment was Dec 12, 2017. He is scheduled for a Radical Cystectomy on Feb 20. He has had blood and clots in his urine, but over the past couple of days, it is terrible. ALOT of blood and several, several clots. Is this normal? He is scheduled to see the surgeon in the morning.

Just wanted to acknowledge your post Nanaof7. I have no idea what is normal in your brothers situation except to say what often may look like a lot of blood is in reality, not a “lot”. Which I add to as what is a lot? Which I asked myself with my hematuria 10 years ago and was told it probably wasn’t a lot. The good news is your brother is seeing the surgeon tomorrow so you should be getting some more direction and hope you/he get some answers. Keep us posted as your journey continues. There are many here that have been in his shoes doing well, so one day at a time!
