Goodbye To All
Posted by Mike on November 20, 2007 at 2:32 pm[center]
I would like to thank everyone for their support while I was here. I have met many nice folks here and I wish everyone the best. I think most people that know me have a darn good reason for why I am leaving. For now I am cancer free and I fought a hard battle to get there but yet I have many problems in my life I still have to hurrdle over but all in time. When I first joined this site back on Jan 11/07 I never saw some of this arguing and now I am just grateful to be alive. So as I found myself getting caught in this trash talking I knew then it was time for me to go but I waited. When you come to a cancer site I was always one to share my feelings or experiences and now there are times I leave this board I have to ask myself why I am came. Joe

And I will take your words of wisdom to my husband, as soon as he drags his butt out of bed. It’s snowing here, and an ice storm is predicted, and so we’re “bundling” today.
Glad to have you back.

As you say “they got the cancer so that is the main deal.”
My wife keeps repeating that to me everytime some weird thing happens to me. And you’re both 100% right!

2 sons, ages 20 and 23GuestNovember 27, 2007 at 1:58 pmI will tell you all this after getting an email or two from Wendy and Joris and I explained things to them and considered coming back and they had no problem here. But if you read my post about friendship the part about things that were bothering me apparently Wendy was aware of also and now I understand where she is coming from so I decided to come back or believe me my decision would of been final. I came here to help and get support not squabble over who knows more etc. The less said on this the better. Also I would like to thank all of you that replied that really wasn’t the intention of my post but ty anyway. Joe ;)
Joe, you were the first person I received a message of support from when I joined the forum, your message offered me much reassurance. Thank you for that, I wish you well whatever you decide in the future.
Maria xxJoe,
I’m always looking for your comments…please do reconsider and stay…we will miss your wit and wisdom. We need you. Yes, there are times when I too come to the forum and then ask myself if I feel better or worse as a result and sometimes I do feel worse but I think the benefits outweigh the negatives. There is a lot of human emotion happening here and so sometimes we will mess up and there are problems; like in a family, but things change and improve…hopefully we grow and move forward. PLEASE think about coming back. Thank you for your support to me. Wishing you the best. Melodie

I really appreciate your posts, and your way in which you tell your feelings on things. You were one of the first to help me along and I am sorry to see you go
but I am sure you have your reasons. I certainly enjoyed the pictures you have shared under all b/c stages, and the knowledge you brought to us. Gene and I will miss your input, it was indeed as important as anyone else’s.. See you on the im..Ginger and Gene Beane
Oh, my gosh, Joe. I was just trying last night to get my husband to read some of your posts…..you are SO grounded! I hope you can reconsider, and keep your wisdom available for all of us.

Joe,
I didn’t get to know you very well, but I felt welcomed here because of you. I kinda felt like we had some things in common. I like your direct and informative post I think you should stay awhile longer as I am just starting chemo and have not had surgery yet. At least consider monitoring the site?
