gene therapy
My brother in law was diagnosed in February of 2015, he is being treated with BCG and it’s not working. They discovered this week that he has two types of cancer in the bladder. Fortunately they have not breached the wall yet. One resolved with BCG the other is resistant to it. In his meeting with his dr they told him that they would submit him for two trials both in gene therapy. They didn’t give him any specifics on the trials. In doing a search I found this trial
recombinant adenovirus–mediated interferon alfa-2b plus Syn3, at MD Anderson.According to their website they are allowing 100 people into this Level III trial stage.
My question is, is there someone on this site that is experiencing the same problem and / or someone familiar with any of the gene therapy trials for bladder cancer.
Thanks
Diane
