Found a mass in my bladder. Thanks for the forum
Posted by manufanatic99 on April 19, 2017 at 1:50 amI’m 52 years old male cancer survivor 22 years ago NHL in my small bowel. I was experiencing back pain but I have chronic back pain but this was different. I assumed I strained it but yesterday I started peeing brown and had a blood blob in my stream. When to the er and the ct showed a 11mm hyper dense nodule along the right lateral wall posteriorly. Seeing a urologist tomorrow. Wonder if anyone had a similar diagnosis. I know that I will find out tomorrow maybe but I thought I should ask.
Thanks

Most bladder cancer patients never have pain such as you describe.

Forum ModeratorHello I’m back.. since my last post I’ve had two biopsies the first one was in the neck of the bladder came back as inflammation (cyst is?) last week I went in and he saw a wavy patch on my right side wall. So i wait for the result but what is more worrying is the pains I have in my pelvis. It starting on the belt line and moved everywhere including my thighs I assumed it was referred pain from my back since I have issues at l4/5 and S1. Now it has migrated right on top of my pubic bone area. The pain gets worse depending how i sit or lay down and is less when I’m stand up. I still have the other pains as well so I’m freak out. My question is those who had bladder pain where did you feel it? Thanks In advance
Now pissing clear B) B) B) B) Now the wait from the lab
Update:
Still passing clots but the stream isn’t so red anymore so I see some urine and the clots though still large are only one instead of 3 or 5. Hopefully this is a good sign. Thanks for all the info guys and gals

Ok thanks for the info
Thanks Jack
Still passing clots it is 3 am here ( east coast USA). Probably 20 times theblood has gone from dark red to red. I assume it must be the area (neck) must be a lot of blood vessels but still if he actually cortized it one would think it would stop. The other issue I had a blood cancer 23 years nhl. I guess if I’m still urinated then I’m ok. Just the amount of clots are is concerning and of course I have aches in my calfs so I think it is worst. Thanks

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.Manu,
The instructions I was given regarding post-TURBT bleeding was that it was normal, unless:
– the color or urine was REALLY like tomato soup, not just red color, or
– clots got to the point that urination was not possible, despite hydration and urge;
in those cases it was time to immediately call the office for for directions.Of course, the tomato soup hit at 3 AM, and inability at 4 AM. I waited until 6 AM to call, hoping for the clog to clear. An hour later they were clearing the clog by irrigating and suctioning the bladder. It was suspected that I may have over hydrated a bit after the TURBT, and delayed healing of a biopsy site.
I hope things are better now.
Best,
Jack

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait. Thanks but still concerns me I have gone at least 8 times and have passed large clots and the urine is still all blood it seems. I know I’m being paranoid I can deal with the diagnosis of it is bad but I don’t want to die from the procedure because I don’t ask the question. Thanks again
Almost all of us experienced some discomfort from the TURB. I was warned about possibly passing a clot 10-14 days post and I did. I almost freaked out and then I remembered his warning. Also, as Sara Anne posted and I have also learned too many times (2 hernias, 2 TURBS, 1 torn wrist ligament, 1 bypass, 1 carotid artery and 1 melanoma surgeries) you simply wait. To speculate is a waste of time until ALL the tests are done. I am still kicking and probably healthier than I was 12 years. One day at a time is ALL we can control and sometimes not even that.
DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.I know but so far he has been right. This biopsy is worse then my first so much blood in my urine lots of clots it is concerning but I called the doctor and he says it is normal. Thanks for responding
You are correct that the urologist may have an idea if what this might be, but
he cannot be sure until the pathology report is in hand. It would be terrible if he hinted
at information that turned out to be incorrect.Sara Anne

Forum ModeratorUpdate:
Went in for my 3 months check and the dr said the bladder looks fine but there is something in the neck area so he did a biopsy and he believes it is a benign but it is still be set out to the lab. Question shouldn’t a urologist somewhat know if it is or not? Not 100 percent accurate maybe but with their experience?
As a former cancer survivor I always follow up thanks so much jack and others it is very tough to talk to families about this.
