Father just diagnosed Sarcomatoid Bladder Cancer
My
Father age 89 (you would never know it very active, sharp as a tack) just had TURBT done to remove mass in bladder. We were told it is very aggressive cancer, Sarcomatoid. Urologist felt he got it all but of course there is risk that there are microscopic cells remaining. Lymph nodes show no spread and his lungs are clear. We were told this rare type of cancer does not respond to BCG or radiation and that they feel Radical Cystectomy would be too a difficult surgery at his age.Is this it? Is there any help for him? He found out two days ago and we see a change in him already. We are both heartbroken beyond words. Please help if you can.
Oh, doctor did not give a stage, brom what I am reading, sounds like Stage II N0 MO G4?
