I had my three month cysto today and all was clear ! YEA !!
My cysto in nov resulted in surgery and my cysto in feb I had to have surgery so getting the all clear this time was great !

I can’t believe it has been ten years since my first surgery. It has been eleven years since I first had the bleeding when I peed but they made a mistake and thought it was a kidney stone.

I hope that this brings to people that are finding out they have bladder cancer for the first time, hope that life can go on. I have had several reccurs over the years but I get them taken care of and keep busy living . Rocky

I was first diagnosed in 2006 with a ta grade 2 (there were several small tumors) I made the decision to then go to John Hopkins . The Dr. recommended a wait and watch. Over the years it came back several times, each time the Dr took it out, It always stayed low grade. In 2011 when it came back The Dr talk about me getting 8 mytomycin treatments . Long story short finaces didn’t allow that . He felt it would be ok to keep doing wait and watch.

Last Nov it came back and again had it taken out. In Feb had surgery again and had the mytomyncin put in . The path report for this one said it had not yet turned to cancer .

It has come back in different areas of my bladder but always ta even the grade dropped down from a 2 to a 1, I am not at the place where I would need to have a more aggressive surgery. If it started to get more aggressive then the treatment plan would change.

Thanks for all the good wishes guys !

    HI Rocky,

So encouraged to hear the news!! Yeah! Can I ask you what type of bladder cancer you have? Also, why have you opted not to have a cystectomy?
    Thanks.
