Cycle 5 under way…
Posted by mmc on June 21, 2013 at 6:26 pmThanks everyone!
Yesterday, I headed down for my cycle 5. The transfusion went well and I felt really good after getting it. I’m considering vampirism as a new way of life. ;)
My counts were all up and the only issue was creatinine, which is indicating kidney function problems. Hopefully, that will resolve after chemo is done. Usually it does. They reduced my doses and after a bunch of number crunching determined I am still ok to continue in the clinical trial.
Feeling pretty good today with only intermediate nausea. Not a lot of appetite but the dogs were happy that I didn’t figure that out until I was eating so it was feast for them. :)

We used to live in Fort Collins which was much closer to the foothills and mountains. We noe live near a little town called Wiggins which is 65 or so miles east of there. Even with that, on clear days I can the Rockies. No clear days since the fires started and there is a distinct smoky haze. Can’t smell it because it is high up by the time it gets anywhere near here but it’s terrible in Denver where I get my chemo.

I think about you often, and every time I hear about more wildfires in Colorado. Have any of those been near you?
I hope your Cycle 5 continues in an uneventful and positive way. Go get ’em!
Best wishes… CatherineTURBT 1/21/10 at age 55

Yes, I’m using Zofran. It works pretty well. I take that plus Emend plus dexamthezone for two days after my day 1. Then 2 days of dex and Zofran, then just Zofran when needed. Needed it more Regis last cycle.Mike
