I am a little scared and hoping for support.

In August on 2017 I had strong smelling urine. I didn’t have health insurance so I just kept drinking water trying to dilute it.
I had no other symptoms other that strong urine. I let it go until I passed out Feb 2018 in the shower.
My husband took me to the ER. They said I had a really bad UTI and my heart rate was low which caused me to pass out.

They started me on antibiotics. As soon as I finished the round of antibiotics the strong smelling urine came back. Another round of antibiotics was prescribed, same thing. Came back. This went on from Feb until May. During this time I lost down from 140 pounds to 104 pounds.

Last Tuesday I woke up at 3 am to pee and it was straight blood.
Went to ER and was told to see a urologist and oncologist within 2-3 days.

I had a CT scan at the ER. The ER doc said I had a hemorrhagic proteinaceous cyst on my kidney. I saw a urologist on Wednesday. He sent me for an ultrasound of the kidneys and bladder on Friday and I am scheduled for a cystoscope tomorrow morning at urologist office.

I am attaching my urine sample. I peed blood for 12 hours.

    I am scared. I am a 49 year old female. I don’t smoke. I don’t run.

Thank you all so much for responding. I am just a little anxious. I will let you know how the cystoscope goes tomorrow. Just one more night.

    Jakris24,
I understand your concern. I am 50 and started peeing blood as dark as yours. Id get a bladder full and then it would lighten up, then id get another “Scary looking” one.
I saw the doc immediately and started researching online. It persisted for a week and a half before it subsided. It is very scary, but it seemed kinda common place to the urologist and to some of the research i did.
While it is scary, try to give yourself a break. The docs will do their tests and will help you understand what your up against.
Let us know if we can help with any other questions.

I deleted your post on the other thread since it was a duplicate of this one

While we are not doctors here your symptoms are not typical of bladder cancer As Alan has said you really won’t have a diagnosis until at least you see the urologist . Please let us know what he says

    Wishing you all the best

Welcome. You simply won’t know much until more tests are done. While doctors are often wrong with a first guess the “hemorrhagic proteinaceous cyst on my kidney” is as good as anything right now. The CT scan will tell you what will be next. Often a cystoscopy that looks into the bladder but, some other tests that look into the kidney could be next. I have learned to not try and second guess as many times things are often not nearly as bad they seem. One day at a time is the word! Come back and let the board what is happening.
