  I completed 6 weeks of weekly intra vesicular bcg 80 mg. I am due for check cystoscopy in 2 weeks time. I was informed that there will be maintenance schedule of 3 weeks of intra ves bcg after another 6 weeks. what is the success rate of bcg?

  Thank you very much. I pray to be in responsive 70%. Alternatives are a little disconcerting..

  You can find reports citing all sorts of cure rates for BCG but the most common one is 70%. It depends on so many factors and no two patients are exactly the same in terms of location and extent of the cancer. Several things are certain, however. BCG is the most effective current treatment for non-muscle invasive CIS and maintenance treatments significantly increase the effectiveness. We are fortunate to have it available!
