Hi, folks, I hope all is well with with you!

1st, at 2-yrs I am so far cancer-free (“09” T1 Hi-grade superficial). Had 9-BCG’s, then had to stop due to unbearable pain & heavy bleeding. Two attempts later at 10% dose was aborted as everytime they Cathed me, I bleed from the Cath. If there is bleeding at Cath, BCG cannot be given. So Uro has given up on BCG treatment!

Prostate pain during the 4th – 9th BCG got pretty bad, so I was on Antibiotics for 6-mo with little change. The Prostate calmed down for about 4-mo, now the pain/ache has returned big time. It’s been about 9+ months since the last BCG!

At the last Cysto (every 90-days) the Uro said my prostate was now pushing into my bladder. Prostate meds and I do not get along, as I have serious side-affects. PSA has risen from <1 to 2.9 over 2-yrs, but this could come from BPH, who knows.

This Wednesday I have the Ole 90-Cysto.

I am also going to be scheduled for Colonoscopy, just to rule other possibilities out :woohoo:

Bill – So great to hear you are doing so well; especially after all that pain and suffering with the catheters and maybe less than the best of medical treatment when you first got started. Continue updating us as time goes on, and hopefully give us more good reports.

Had my Cysto today and still no cancer (23-mo clear), even going to every 4-mo schedule. He has ordered a CT scan, this coming Monday, to be sure all is clear elsewhere!

Prostate: Long standing BPH, which will require the “old roto rutter” w/in the next 12-mo.

    Could be worse!

    Thanks all!

Hi Bill… Sounds like you’ve had a rough two years but the upside is that you have remained cancer free. I hope your cysto goes well and your uro can find something that brings you relief from the pain.

    Best wishes… Catherine
