    Hi Everyone,

    It has been a while since I have checked in….

    I was dx’d in 2007 with T3bNoMx invasive bladder cancer, I had rc with neobladder before doing chemo for several months. In 2009 the neo was a failure and I went to the ileal conduit. After that I pretty much dropped out of sight.

    Last year I dealt with breast cancer – invasive ductal, dcis and malignant radial scar. After surgery, sentinel node etc. I did chemo and radiation, finished up 11 months ago. We did genetic testing too.

    But I want to let you all know I am still bladder cancer free :) Life after cancer is ….complicated, but it is living. Survivorship after 5 cancers is not a picnic, it seems as hard as the fight to live sometimes. I am not the same as before, but I still am living in joy most days.     Hi, Holly
    I,m just checking in too. I hope you will find somethings in life
    even better then before. I’ve done this cancer thing 3 times myself.
    I see nearly everything through different eyes now. My life is the
    best and I hope yours will be also. Sorry you have had to face this
    journey so many times. My biggest fear in life is my loved ones
    getting cancer. My sister in law was just diagnosed with breast
    cancer and it knocked the wind out of my sails. Maybe that’s why
    I,m back here checking in tonight. For some reason checking back in
    here gives me a little comfort. Coming back and seeing all that you
    have survived gives me more hope for my sister in law. Thank you for
    being here.

    Living as a survivor of cancer is not the same as before, that is for sure. But it is Living indeed! And sometimes, because you have had the shock of cancer, you learn to live better. Every day is a chance to make a difference in your own life or someone else.

    We are sure glad to have you around and know that you will be giving us an update for years to come.
