I had bladder cancer from 2009-2013. I was treated for bladder cancer multiple times. I was finally treated with 6 treatments of BCG in 2014 and have had not had a reoccirence of bladder cancer since then. However in 2016 I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in 2016. I had surgery, radiation and chemo and have now been cancer free since 2016.
Yes, is the short answer. Most would be called a recurrence in most cancers. This is why vigilant checkups and observation are so important along with early detection. Bladder cancer has a fairly high recurrent rate.
