If all the cancerous cells are removed before they have had a chance to move into other locations, it is very possible to be “cured.” Cells which are already malignant do not, however, “unmutate.”
Bladder cancer often recurs probably because whatever caused the cells to become unstable made other cells more likely to be unstable also. But this doesn’t always happen. I have been free of bladder cancer now for almost ten years, with no sign of recurrence. Totally unrelated, I have also been free of breast cancer now for 22 years since my diagnosis. So yes, cancer can be cured!
