  Bulge around Stoma

  Now

  My husband had a Ileal Conduit in May 2013. Is it possible to develop a hernia around the stoma?? There appears to be a hard bulge around the stoma..

  Yes it is possible to have a hernia around stoma. I just had(Jan 9,15) stoma revision and hernia surgery. I am still in recovery mode.

  Hi and welcome to the website. I cannot answer your question, but I am sure some of the other members who have a stoma will answer as soon as they can to let you know if this is normal, or if it requires medical attention.
