    Hi

My dad is taking BCG treatments. He completed 4 of them. Then the doctor did a cystoscope and a biopsy from the original tumor area muscle. No new tumors were found.

Now the doc is asking us to defer the 5th BCG for another week so that the wound can heal.
Is this ok? We will be skipping a week between 4th and 5th??

    Sree,

I am glad that your Dad had no recurrance, but, I have not heard of this protocol before. My knowledge of BCG is an initial round of 6 before a cystoscopy. This is normal protocol.
I can’t remember if I already told you about Dr. Lamm. Dr. Lamm is the world reknown BCG expert and he has a website where he will answer questions about BCG. Your father’s case is unusual to me.

Here is his website. He has always kindly answered my questions about my own treatments and has been very helpful. Good luck. Rosemary
