Bob Scheiffer
Posted by Jeff F on July 15, 2008 at 3:45 pmDuring the Tony Snow memoriums, I saw Bob Scheiffer of CBS News interviewed re his friendship with Mr. Snow. He said he had stage 3 Bladder Cancer in 2003. I searched this but found only vague references to his B/C fight. Does anyone know if he had an R/C? Apparently, he is cured at this time. I thought it was interesting.

Oddly enough, I just looked and found this interview blog dated today…..
According to Shieffer, his Doctor told him that if he had waited just 2 more weeks (he had noticed bloody urine only twice) then the cancer would have probably invaded the muscle wall by that time. I find this odd. I was bleeding a LONG time before going to the Uro. I’m pretty sure that my cancer was in there a pretty long time. The bleeding was intense in October, and I wasn’t diagnosed until January. Does non-invasive cancer really progress this fast????

R/C ilial conduit 04/27/2008I was honored to meet Mr. Scheiffer at a BCAN fundraiser last year. He brought his country western band (who knew) and prefomed for the crowd. He has done a lot to help them with raising funds. He has been dealing with non invasive blc for some time now. By the way he is a very down to earth approachable person.

GuestJuly 15, 2008 at 4:29 pmThis is the only interview with Larry King in 2004…King kind of cut him off on the subject..too bad……..apparently it was grade III but must have been a low stage as it appears no RC…….

PatJeff,
I found this transcript from Larry King when he was interviewing Bob Scheiffer….
He talks about his bladder cancer…It states that he didn’t have his bladder removed but under-went treatment.
here is the link:

Hope this helps,
