Blood after two weeks of TURBT
Hi Everyone!
I had my first TURBT two weeks back. I used to have burning sensation while I used to pee for like 7-8 days and slowly it subsided. I did not had any session of gross hematuria in those two weeks. But from last 2 days, I can see slight pink drops at the end of urine. Has this occurred to anyone? Like I read somewhere that the scabs might have come off slightly and so the blood is normal for quite a few months after TURBT. -

It is pretty normal to pass clots 10-17 days post the TURB. It is the scab sloughing off. Usually, it is darker blood (meaning old) but, can be brighter. For peace of mind, I’d just have the doc’s nurse to confirm. It should clear up in a few days.
DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.Sign In to reply.
