Thanks RAH
My husband is 56 and we found out he had cancer in April 07. After his 2nd cysto in June, the uro mentioned diverticula and that he should have his bladder out. We are now waiting on the appt with a specialist who we expect will do more tests.
The waiting is horrible and the not knowing is horrible.
I will search your posts for more information, as it appears your case is very similar to my husband’s. Did you post about your surgery?
I just had my Radical cystectomy a couple of weeks ago. At the time, the cancer was not in the muscle wall but it was in both my golf ball size diverticula. The problem with the diverticulum is that the muscle wall is stretched and the outer layer (at least mine) was tissue paper thin instead of the normal 1/4 -1/2 inch thick.
Because of the diverticulum, the doctors suggested I have my bladder removed.
