  • Bladder Cancer – Sex drive?

This might not be bladder cancer related but….I am a bladder cancer survivor for 8 years next month. After a couple of TURBTs, 24 BCG treatments, now just a yearly cystoscope. Very thankful. I also went through a bout of NHL (Non-Hodgkin lymphoma) while in the midst of my BCG treatments a couple of years after my BC diagnosis -6 RCHOP chemo, 35 IGRT radiation – now in remission.

I am now almost 74 (Dec), and I have noticed a gradual decrease in sex drive (libido) in the last year or so. Not in desire, but basically trouble getting an erection. My DW says she thinks that is normal – we still have sex about once a week. I’m wondering if it might be associated with the BC? I have had so many catheters, etc I’m thinking it might have something to do with it? I know I should probably discuss with my urologist on my yearly visit but just wondering if anyone else might have experienced the same? Maybe it is normal, but I don’t like it and not really interested in getting on the regular doctor visits again, so thought I would ask. I fell good physically, although I do have some back issues (not serious) and my BP seems to be low sometimes (low 100s over high 50s) but pretty good in general?

If this is too personal….sorry, just thought I would ask?
