What’s your best guess: Does having had BCG treatment(s) result in a better ability to fight the coronavirus? Since BCG is the virus that leads to TB (a respiratory disease) does the body build stronger resistance to pulmonary disease?

Question 2: If one contracts coronavirus while in the midst of a course of BCG treatments (6x or 3x) is one more susceptible to serious consequences?

I know there are no definitive answers but was wondering if anyone has any thoughts to share?

THanks for your reply and I am glad you are taking steps to protect yourself from CV19.

Anyone have thoughts on BCG and its impact on one’s ability to resist CV19 or other respiratory infection? I suspect there might be some medical study or data relative to BCG and pneumonia, COPD, etc. Thanks.

Not to take your thunder as I am sure many have their antenna up about the virus…which is prudent. At the same time I don’t give it much time and thought. I have always practiced good hygiene such as washing my hands as needed (my wife is a retired RN so she is a mentor) and other good health practices and simply gone on with my life. Just like bladder cancer. It has made me stronger and more effective in my relationships, one day at a time.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.
