I have just come home today from MSK after having my RC. I have so many friends on this site that have helped me from my beginning diagnosis and to the surgery that I wanted to let you know that I am doing great. I have a bottle of pain meds on the counter but honestly have no pain. I am very weak and sleep, sleep, sleep is about all that is on my mind. That is why this will only be a quickie but I promise to write chapters later on.

Big diappointment-I thought I was ordering 2 brass balls but all I woke up with was one plastic one. I still have my humor so you know I am kicking. Love, Nancy

Yes, Sailorman I would love to meet you but you seem to be having plenty of problems yourself. Dr. Bochner is my doctor and I would highly recommend him.
If you and I both feel up to it (I feel great now but this road to recovery is bumpy and you never know what is around the next turn), maybe we could get together next weekend. I met Grampadonut in Dr. Bochner’s office right before my surgery and enjoyed the visit so much.

You will certainly be in my thoughts and hope that things start coming out right. (pun intended)

Thats great Nancy…i’m amazed you made it to the computer. It took me about 2 months…it takes a while for the anesthesia to get out of you plus they rearranged all your plumbing..all i did was sleep and try to manage stairs very slowly. I think it took me 2 weeks to get to an upright position.
So you are doing great!! Pat

Great to hear fom you and that all is going well. Really pleased that not too much pain. And when your body says rest and sleep , just do that. Looking forward to hearing your updates soon, and wishing you all the best. Glad your sense of humour not diminished, but will try not to post any ripping jokes in chit chat till all your stitches n staples are secure !!
