  • Back in Houston, testing and decision this week

Hi, everybody — I’m back from meeting my son’s fiancee’s parents in Ohio. Nice weekend but a push for me. This week promises to be a crucial one for me. After two cycles of aggressive chemotherapy that we hoped would kill some tumor and “re-set
the clock on my life expectancy” I have tests this Thursday, June 19 (CT scans, blood tests, chest x-ray). Then we decide (1) more of the same, (2) something different, (3) observe and monitor. I’m trying not to ruin one of these good days
with stark terror, but I imagine I’ll be about there on Thursday, Friday. Both my husband and my (only) sister will be here, if all goes well with travel, for the Friday doctor’s appointment. Thoughts and prayers especially welcome.

    Love to all — Susan

    Hi Susan,

Funny, my dad is back in Houston this week too. They flew in today and are at the Rotary House. That place has become their home away from home. Funny to think you may have passed by each other and never knew. Anyway, sending prayers and well wishes to Houston, to all of you out there.

    Susan,

If anyone can do it, you can….your optimism is awesome…attitude counts for alot…Here’s to resetting the clock!!!CHEERS to that! I will not tell you to be strong, because you are….I will not tell you to have a positive attitude, because you do…but I do want to tell you that I am routing for you…

    With Love in Prayers,
    Karen
