Just got my latest issue of ConsumerReport (November, 2012). Very interesting article on the presence of arsenic at worrisome levels in food, especially rice.
And, in several places, its link to bladder cancer is discussed.

    Interesting.

I’ve kind of wondered about having the well water at our summer home tested for arsenic, which is not uncommon in well water in Maine. We’ve spent a lot of time there over the last 37+ years, including 2 years living there year round There’s a very high rate of all types of cancer in Maine, and a lot of people get water from wells. There’s also a lot of naturally-occurring radon in homes.
