  • All clear annual check-up

    I’m only on here rarely these days, but am just writing to report that my recent annual cysto exam showed that I remain all clear of any tumors. To those of you who are just starting on this bladder cancer journey,there is certainly hope for many years of cancer-free life. Wishing you all the same good news.

    Small TA Grade 1, May-06; recur (2 tiny), same, June-08; TURBTs both times. BCG begun July-08, dosage to 1/3rd May-10, completed treatment December-11. All clear since 2008.

    You are probably getting on with your life now that you became cancer free.
    Yes, life does indeed go on after cancer.

    DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

    Tis CIS comes back.
    BC clear as of 5/17 !
    RCC found in my one & only kidney 10/17
    Begin Chemo; Cisplatin and Gemzar
    8/18 begin Chemo# 3
    Begin year 4 with cis
    2/19 Chemo #4
    9/19 NED again :)
    1/2020 CIS is back
    Tried Keytruda, stopped by side effects
    Workin on a new plan for 2021
