::)My deepest graditude to the WebCafe Forum (Bladder Cancer) for being there when I was diagnosed and life after! Reading experiences and information from others who’ve been there, made the “shock of my life” bearable. I couldn’t discuss it with family or close friends for over a year without tears falling. BUT, with humor and control, I am finally getting better.

I’m now on six month scope tests, after two surgeries (non-invasive tumor then cancer-free). As I get close to my next office procedure, I return to this site for updated information and strength. Thank you always for being there!!

    HI,

I AM SO SORRY I DID NOT RESPOND SOONER, I AM NEW TO THIS AND DID NOT EVEN SEE YOUR RELY.

I HAVE NEVER HAD BCG TREATMENTS. EVERY 3 MONTHS FOR THE PAST YEAR I HAVE HAD SURGERY, AS AN OUT PATIENT. NO PROBLEMS, NO CATH, NO PAIN, NO BLEEDING.

I HAVE ALSO HEARD THE MANY SIDE EFFECTS OF BCG, THE SURGEON RECOMMENDED IT BECAUSE OF THE RE-OCCURANCE. I WAS ADVISED FROM ANOTHER DOCTOR, GYNO, NOT TO HAVE THE BCG, BUT HAVE THE SURGERY EVERY 3 MONTHS IF NECESSARY.

YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE TO SAY THEY HAD NO SIDE EFFECTS FROM THE PCG. I GO IN SEPT. AND IF CAMERA SHOWS ANOTHER I WILL HAVE IT REMOVED, NO PROBLEMS, AT WORK THE NEXT DAY, BUT I WILL NOT PUT MY BODY THROUGH THE BCG TREATMENTS.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND LET ME KNOW PLEASE HOW IT GOES. THIS SITE HAD BEEN A BIG HELP TO ME, I NEVER HAD ANY SIGNS I EVEN HAD A PROBLEM.

PRAYERS AND A POSITIVE ATTITUDE ARE THE BEST MEDICINE.

    KEEP ME POSTED.

    MYSTIC

    Hi Mystic

Did you have the basic 6 BCG after the first surgery? I had Ta, but my Uro strongly suggested at least 6 treatments. I did all six – one a week for 6 weeks – no problem. For 24 hrs I had urgency – but other than that I was fine. I am a little concerned if he wants me to have three more, because from what I have read here, those seen to get a bit nasty.
This board has helped me so much – the people are great!! – We are all in the same boat ;)

    HI

CONGRATULATIONS, IF I MAY ASK, DID YOU HAVE ANY BCG TREATMENTS??

I HAVE HAD 4 SURGERIES, EVERY 3 MONTHS HE FINDS SOMETHING, HE CALLS IT A “NUISANCE” CANCER BUT DOES WANT TO START BCG IN SEPT IF THE SCOPE IS NOT CLEAR. I HAVE NOT HEARD A GOOD THING ABOUT BCG AND NOT MUCH SUCCESS FOR WHAT YOU PUT YOUR BODY THROUGH.

    PRAYING AND AGAIN, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

    MYSTIC

Good luck with your recheck and good work you deserve it cancer is not for sissy’s. Don’t just drop back before recheck. Check on the newly dxed once in a while and see if anyone needs a hug. It is a good group here and you would be more than welcome. Let us know how your recheck goes.
