About the TU RB to remove too small papillary lesions regarding the procedure?
I have two papillary lesions on my bladder. The doctor is going to perform a TURB in 40 days. When he looked at them on the scope he said he wasn’t very concerned about them. I was told the operation wouldn’t take very long maybe 30 minutes. It’s not usual from start to finish for something like that? Plus another urologist I saw earlier send it was unlikely I would have a Catheter after the Surgery? And the last thing that I was wondering for procedure like I’m supposed to have could I get an epidural Anastasia. Because I heard but they often feel it’s better to put you right out. Does anyone have any knowledge or can comment on what I’ve written about. Thank you

Yes and yes. 30 minutes is probably an average for 2 small papillary tumors and with them being small it is unlikely to have you leave with a catheter. An epidural is a spinal block where you are awake and from what I have read is can be done but, most of these are given as a general anesthesia knockout. You will read under my profile I had a papillary tumor and sometimes a second is done IF there are questions on the grade or margins taken. You will do fine!
DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.Sign In to reply.
