  • 9 month check coming up the 19th

Posted by on December 4, 2007 at 4:18 pm

    Hi everyone,

Just thought I would get this out there…I go back to Mayo’s on the 19th for my 9 month check up. My hubby is going with me as they will likely be doing biopsies on my lung. At my 6 month check up they changed my dx from P3aN0M0 to P3aN0MX – undetermined mets. We are praying it is benign like the bone tumor turned out to be. I do appreciate the prayers and good vibes from you folks on this – thank you.
Other than that we are just trying to make Merry :) God Bless, Holly

    Dear Holly,

I’m sorry about these disappointments but you sound like you’re handling things very well. Being self absorbed is another way of putting yourself first. That’s necessary, not selfish. It’s very hard to deal during times like this, with the world spinning round as usual while it feels like our lives are on hold.

I send you hugs and best wishes for the coming time, and nothing but love and miracles for 2008!
    Wendy

    Holly,

You “self absorbed” ???…that’s a good one….you must be kidding…you are always reaching out to help someone else, whether it is on this forum or elsewhere. Sorry you had to get such uncomfortable news this close to the holidays but I sense you won’t let that stop you from enjoying Christmas with family & friends. As always, you are in my daily prayers and I will be thinking often of you during the next few weeks as we wait to see what happens next. Yes, some of it is luck, and yet I do believe strongly in the power of prayer as Iam sure many others do…please know that there will be lots of prayers offered up in hope that tihings will turn around for you in the coming year. You have such a gift to offer others, just being the wonderful person you are. You give and give and I just don’t know how you do…you are an awesome person and I so appreciate your strength of character. I feel so blessed and inspired to know you as I am sure any others do. Wishing you rest, happiness and peace of mind this Christmas season. Sending you lots of hugs….God bless you!….love, Melodie :)

    Hi Friends,

Well, They were going to do the CT guided biopsy on my pelvic bone, however the lesion can be seen on MRI but not CT yet as it is 1cm. So they couldn’t do the biopsy. So my oncologist wants me back there in 8 weeks for repeat MRI and bonescan. He encouraged me saying it is small and that we can radiate it if it is the only one. I am also scheduled for a DR to biopsy a lesion in my mouth. Turns out the lung nodules are stable. I guess I don’t get my MX changed to MO for Christmas.
Sorry I am selfabsorbed lately- I am just overwhelmed a bit. God Bless, Holly

    Hi friends,

Well I had blood and urine tests, ct’s, still films and mri’s….and they found a lesion on one of my pelvic bones :( So I will be staying over another night. I do not want to jump to any conclusions, but I am royally freaking out. Everything else was acceptable. They said I can go home after the biopsy in the morning. It will take them a few days to decide what it is. If it is cancer they want me back for a bone scan and God knows what else. I must be on Santa’s naughty list?
Patricia, call me or I will call you on my cell. God Bless, Holly

Well, Friends, the time has come for us to hop in the car and drive the almost 6 hours to Mayo’s. I am hopeful, a bit nervous, and out of sorts. Thank you guys for all the support and prayers – I would be lost without you. It will likely be Thursday or Friday before I post again.
    God Bless, Holly
