First I would like to thank Sara Anne for strongly suggesting a surgeon who performs cystectomies on a regular basis. It was difficult to wrap my head around my diagnosis (9/2014) of bladder cancer let alone realizing the surgery (11/2015)should preferably be performed by an accomplished/skilled surgeon. Sara Anne’s words are gospel.

Second, I am six weeks post RC (radical cystectomy) and am doing very well. As the saying goes, it is certainly not a walk in the park by any stretch of the imagination. But once I got over the hump (which was week six to the day), I could see clearly (cue Jimmy Cliff’s I can see clearly now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyrAhLIbDHM).

    Until the next time.

Thank you all for your support.

Wishing you the best. I am 2 months post RC and also over the hump but questions keep popping up, so please keep in touch. There is life after bladder cancer.
