  • 6 days after first BCG and some blood

It’s been six days since my first BCG (going back tomorrow for #2), and I had a blood clot when I urinated this morning. I called the nurse and she said it’s fairly common, but she’d pass the info on to the doc. Anyone else have this happen?

Had BCG#4 this morning. So far, no reaction to any of them so asked nurse about it this morning. She said everyone is different and that my weekly urine analyses have shown microscopic blood and “stuff” so “something is being irritated in there.”

It’s weird that we actually want to feel something different/adverse because “only then” will we believe that it is “working”.

I had no reaction at all to the BCG sometimes the things I read make me think it may not have done anything, seems like a reaction would be expected, I was tired but seems like ever since all this started Ive been easily tired.I keep working out and all but its hard sometimes. best of luck,:)

I’ve had 6 initiation BCG treatments, and 3 maintenance BCG treatments. Passing bits of blood and clots has been common after treatments for a few days. I’m told the clots are probably white blood cells and cancer cells.

JS that’s “normal” because who knows what is “normal” as we all react different. I ;passed clots after #2 and # 6 instillation and none withy the others.

Not yet. Had BCG #2 this past Tuesday. Only issue is slight burning while peeing. I’ll take it.

    Jon,
I have only had a little blood pass on my first day of BCG’s. I am sure it is fairly common. You did the right thing to report it to the doctor. Do they do a urine test before every BCG? Make sure they do, and if all is clear they will do the next treatment.
