Dear Ian,
While i can assure you from my personal experience that a urethral stricture is no fun, we can manage with it – you and me. You’re in so much pain and sore now, but it may very well be that once this heals there will not be a stricture. Right now you most likely have swelling at the urethral opening from their mangling it with whatever they did, but if the injury is primarily at the tip, hopefuly they can make sure it heals without a stricture, or monitor it easily enough and open it.

Pediatricianwell it doesn’t sound very minor to me at all. it sounds extremely distressing. I’ve not heard of it before. Hopefully it will all heal up and be ok but I really feel for you. I think none of us here are strangers to occasional penis pain. Mine swelled up like a watermelon after my cystectomy (i felt quite well hung for a week or so!) but at least it stayed in one piece. it sounds like it’s getting better but I’d have your medical team explain how it happened so they can try and make sure it doesn’t again. I’d want to know. it sounds quite unusual to me.
all the best to you for a speedy recovery
