Yes, the number is much greater in Europse in this link. Is it greater population? The resection without surgery I was referring to is mentioned in this link. I contacted Wendy when I first heard of the success of "chemical resecton" she told me it is not allowed in America at this time. I would sure rather chemical treatments of this type rather than another risky chance of putting me to slepp surgery. Another reason I declined the clinical trial is because of the very long term protocal I had to agree to. My doctor tried to make me feel I was letting others down by not pariticipating in this trial. He said "if everyone felt the way you do, there wouldn't be any clinical trials." He was referring to the fact that I did not want to be a "ginny pig" on a possible placibo since I had not even had the benefit of trying Mitomycin right at TURB. I told him I had placibos in all my previous TURB's by not receiving any agent. I read this link also Pat why is there more bladder cancer in Europe then over here in the states. I found that strange, unless the population is greater all across Europe. Joe

Linda,

Phase III of the EOquin Trial are currently ongoing. I was offered the Trial for the last TURB I had this past Septembember. I decline as it is a blind test where one gets a placibo and another gets the Eoquin. I had never even had the Mitomycin so opted to have that so I knew I was getting some chemo agent at TURB. Eqoquin has not as yet been approved by FDA in America but has some terrific results in Europe even showing the ability to resect a tumor without surgery but with just treatments alone. Equoqin is defined as being less toxic then Mitomycin and more effective. If I would have know for sure I would get the Eoquin rather than a placibo I would have consented. I did some research on it on google and found the stats from other countries Rosie
