Thanks for all the info. I have a dumb question. I'm not really worrying but just so I'll be prepared for all scenarios, if this is a cancer spot, and it has been in there since my last cystoscopy almost three months ago, if it is still there next month will they just take it out in the office? and then would I have to have some kind of follow up treatment? I really don't think it would be cancer again since mine was low aggresive and non invasive but am I fooling myself into thinking I'm all safe? I just like to be a little prepared and I haven't taken the time to read up on all this. Thank you, elaine

Rosemary, CONGRATULATIONS on the new grandbaby!! elaine

Greta and all,

While at the radiology department this past Wednesday, getting my renal ultrasound, I picked up and Web MD magazine and was quite surprised to have it confirmed that cancer reucurrences (in this case breat cancer) are caused by cancer calls left behind at primary surgery. Recurrence usually refers to a tumor growth in the original sight of the bladder but cancer cells left behind can seed in other parts of the bladder. It makes so much more sense to me now that some chemo agent, usually Mitmyocin, is instilled right at the TURB to aid in killing any of those remaining cancer cells. This is the article I read. Rosie
