Alice, I really think that whatever is wrong with me on the bottom is wrong with you too.
My pain on my left side seems to be related to bowel movements, and sometimes, I too have diarrhea. Sometimes after a bowel movement, I feel like I have a toothache in my bottom. It hurts all day. Sometimes I come home from work I tell my Mother (I live with Mom), "My bottom hurts." I will go and get in the shower, because the warm water seems to relieve the pain somewhat. The spastic bladder also seems to be related to bowel movement. After a bowel movement, the bladder goes nuts and I have a morning like this morning, every 15 minutes to the toilet, no matter what I eat or drink.
Right now, I am fine, and am going to take a nap. But, my bottom hurts.
How do you explain this to a doctor so that he understands?
This is so good to have someone to talk to about this. Sometimes the doctors, as good as they are, look at me like I'm whining. Does this mean that everybody's bottom hurts and I'm just suppose to live with it and stop complaining?
Take care my new friend,

I truly am sorry of what you are going through because I understand the frustration of having to go pee every 15 minutes and also the frustration of the doctors not knowing.
Rosemary, I have been dealing with the pain in my lower left back, pressure pain in the bladder, and also rectum for over two years now. When it gets its worst, I notice I also have diarrea along with it.
Last time I had met with my URO and told him about this, he said it has nothing to do with my cancer and asked if I thought it could be in my head and had considered seeing a counselor.
Well for his information, this is why I started seeing a doctor in the first place and this is why they found my cancer. AARRRGGGG!
Rosemary, I really am so happy that you are here to. It really is great to beable to complain without someone thinking it is all in my head and that can really relate.
I was checked by a internalist and he said I had something putting pressure up against my bladder that he felt could possibly be the problem, but I couldn't get any other doctors to look further into this because they didn't agree with his opinion.
I am so glad you are here too. Thank you so much, Rosemary!
