I had lymphatic drainage massage for swelling of my right ankle. Fortunately for me, my daughter-in-law is a massage therapist and had learned lymphatic drainage massage which not all massage therapist do. She worked mostly on the foot and ankle and a little above the ankle. It helped tremendously and I have had no more swelling since.

there are various clinics here in UK offering different types of massage for people with cancer. Shiatsu is pretty popular. One thing they all emphasise , though, is that the masseuse (sp?) should have experience in dealing specifically with cancer. some deep tissue massage techniques can, I was told, hasten the spread of the disease. so I'd probably want to ask that question of my practitioner. But in the right hands (no pun intended) it's great tool.

Greetings all,

Had a mini-break and visited my massage therapist, and when she asked me how things were going, I told her all.

She suggested lymphatic drainage massage. Anyone out there doing this?

Haven't made it to the doctor yet for the 3 month eval (in June!) so haven't had a learned professional to ask, but I thought I would throw it out there and see if any of y'all were doing anything along those lines.
