Hi Holly, thank you for the extended prayers. I too in return will do the same for you. I am not sure what number I was. Wish I would have paid attention.

How are you doing now with the cancer, Holly? I sure would be interested in knowing.

Thank you again, Holly, for taking the time to introduce yourself. You sound like a wonderful and caring person.

Thanks so much, Pat!

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the cold chills when taking the BCG? I would freeze to death and my temp would go down to 75 degrees at times. They covered me with about 5 hot blankets just to keep me warm. The nurse called the doctor to let him know how I was reacting to the treatment and he told her it was not the BCG that she shouldn't keep the rooms so cold. She knew better and just kept a good eye on my temp.

I really can't wait until I meet the new URO. I am going to call and see if they can't get me in sooner in hopes they will have a cancellation. Pat, I will also be sure to ask for the stage and grade soon.

Again, you have all been so very helpful and it is nice to know someone really does care.

God Bless,

Alice

Rosemary, thank you so very much! You will never know how much your communication, care, and concern means to me.

I will be sure to let you know what the test results come up with if any.

You are doing a fantastic job on this forum.

My wishes and prayers go out to everyone.

Hi Alice,

I have had RC which started invasive from the beginning so I have no experience with BCG or treatments of the sort. But I do want to let you know you are definatly on my prayer list ,too :) When I joined this website back in January I was number 700 something....as of yesterday there are 929. Each day I say a prayer for us all. The folks here have become so dear and are so willing to help find the answers, share the burdens and celebrate the good news they have become family to me. Love you all, Holly

Boy you hit that nail on the head...Irritable Doctor Syndrome!! :D Ok you've done the right paperwork...good for you. And it does look like you received BCG which is not really chemo. Its actually a strain of tuberculosis....its currently the most used immunotheraputic agent used for non invasive bladder cancer. And it looks like you've had 6 treatments. and it also looks like you are reacting to it.....some can breeze through it ..and some have exactly the symptoms you're having. Rosemary can attest to that. So tell your doctor he's wrong. There is a connection. Hopefully the symptoms will ease somewhat. Rosemary can help you with that for sure. I know that Memorial Sloan Cancer Hospital in NYC is now using gemcitabine if BCG doesn't work.
Ok we've figured that out....now we need stage and grade. You're doing good girl!!!........Pat
