Kim,

They are not dumb questions. But, I think you may be scaring yourself with "what if's?..."

Ask all the questions that you want to.

Well that's good to know -- one less thing to worry about. Sorry if I am asking such dumb questions!

Kim,

CIS does not develop because you have bladder tumors.  People who have bladder tumors may never get CIS.  There is no reason to try to prevent CIS, if you don't already have CIS.

It is not a progression of the type of bladder cancer that is present in the form of tumors.

I don't think you need to worry about CIS if it hasn't been accounted for in the biopsy.

Me again. I am reading up on BCG and in Dr. Lamm's recommendations he talks about percutaneous BCG. It seems that percutaneous BCG is important in treating CIS alone. My mom has not been diagnosed as having CIS, but I assume it could develop in the future, right? Thus, is it important to have the percutaneous BCG as part of her treatment now? Also, I think I read somewhere that if percutaneous BCG is improperly administered it could lead to actual TB, but I now can't find where I read that. Anyone have any knowledge about this?
