I have had two turbt surgeries in the past month and a half. I am struggling with "recovery". It took over three weeks to even begin to start feeling "normal after the first turbt. Then I had my 2nd.. Now I pretty much feel like i have to p most of the time and when i finally feel like i should p its an emergency.
Its been two weeks since my last turbt. I have also heard these symptoms can last for a long while. Its very frustrating. No one told me it could be like this.
Have faith your body will heal though.

This may or may not apply but, it took me several months to feel "normal" urgency. There is some thought that the bladder shrinks for some people. I tried increased time from urge at some point to help stretch it. I think it helped. This is 10-11 years ago so it may be fuzzy thinking.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Been awhile since I posted here--thanks in advance for any input. I've had three TURBTs (Mitomycin wash with the most recent one in January) and one 6-week course of BCG last fall. Going in for a scope next month to see if there is regrowth.

Wondering if it is common to have increased urinary frequency as a result of the surgeries and/or treatments. Even when I don't void that much, it seems as though I often feel as though I have to go. I can ignore it for quite awhile if I need to, without having an accident, but I don't like going about with that sensation. (When I'd go home with the Foley catheters after the TURBTs one thing that really bothered me was feeling that urge all the time, including all night, with no way to relieve it.)

Anybody else experienced this? Could scarring from the surgeries cause it? I'm female, late '50s.
