Hi, Jim.

I moved your post here to a topic where more members will find it and suggest answers to your question. The “How to” topic is for questions about how to use and navigate the Forum.

As you have discovered, BCG can have side effects and one of them is persistent irritation and cystitis. You really need to press your urologist for help, or for referral to someone who can help.

Were you having this problem while you were undergoing BCG treatments? Most urologists would not administer BCG while there is any sign of irritation. Perhaps you need to seek a second opinion or consultation with another urologist who has a LOT of experience with bladder cancer and BCG. You do need help and it appears that you may not be getting any.

I have gone through three surgeries for removal of tumors in my bladder plus the subsequent fifteen BCG treatments over the last two years. After the first six BCG's I became cursed with a frequent urinary problem. I typically have to frantically urinate about every half hour during the day. On average I get up about 7 times a night although it can be as frequent as 12-16 times a night. I have tried Flomax with no success. Is anyone aware of any successful treatment for this curse? Thank you in advance. Jim
