1/2 of the urine output? Or, are you drinking enough water/fluids? Is your prostate possibly causing a partial obstruction for your urethra creating less output? I would think a second catherization would almost be a last resort however, I am not a doctor and his experience may dictate that is a best choice. On the constipation, my wife tells me the fleet enema is very effective (she used to be an RN in labor & delivery so it is common she says). Of course fruits, exercise and the like also help. A good URO or any doc would certainly want to relieve your symptoms. That is what they are getting paid for and they should be accepting with solving lingering problems.

This is a question you should be asking your urologist. They have a much better idea of your condition.

The support.
So I had my wife asking questions for me.
Now that I removed the catheter now the urine is going into the bladder since this morning how much longer before some pain is relieved

The scope is no fun but, I describe it as uncomfortable. No, I do not look forward to them as I have had 17-20 of these. I remind myself it is the prostate that causes most of this and that takes 15-20 seconds and it is basically over as the rest is OK. Sometimes there is irritation for 6-12 hours when I void. THAT is peace of mind and if that is the worst I will face give it to me. Cystectomy, chemo etc. THAT is pain and you and I have seen too many go through that.
