It took me exactly 4 weeks to recover. That's for very messy weeks and a lot of worry.

lgiamp55,

Fatigue is one of the many side affects. Heck, my 2 TURBS were so long ago my memory is fuzzy. Seems like they went with little fatigue but, the BCG did bring on fatigue. Everyone reacts differently to anesthesia, the trauma and other drugs. If this persists a few more days I would certainly let your doc know before that follow up, which I presume will be next week. As another poster said, walk! It is incredible therapy for mind and body.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

i had a problem with my second turbt. out patient, catheter just to get me home from houston . if its any consolation- my 3rd was far easier than my second.

obviously you need to “listen to your body” what helped me was nutrition (i drink those protein drinks feom costco- Premier Protein- ready to drink cartons from costco) plenty of water, and as much walking as I could asap.

Its been a week since I had my second Turbt. I am still feeling very tired. My mind wants to get going but my body is saying "no way"..not ready"....Since my first surgery was more intense with cather for 7 days...and the second one I have no cather and thought I would be back to normal in a few days..Doctor said I could go back to work..but I'm still tired....I was wondering how long it will take to be back to normal....thank you!
