It is not uncommon to have irritation from BCG. Once I had a biopsy because of it (the urologist was sure it was "BCG cystitis" but wanted to be sure) and several times I had to delay BCG maintenance treatments due to this. The whole idea is that BCG will kick up the immune system in the bladder lining and get rid of the cancer cells. Looks as if that is indeed what it is doing in your case!

On Wednesday of this week I had my 3 month scope after 6 bcg treatments. My bladder was very red and inflamed. According to my URO he has seen this before, but took a biopsy as a precaution in case it is cancer again.
He tells me he thinks the likely hood of there being cancer is about 5% and I should get the results back in a few days.
I feel fine with clear urine and no burning or pain.
Has anyone here had any type of similar experiences?
