Hello. I personally think that 8 months is too long after a turbt to still have visual blood. Someone who has had bladder cancer will often have microscopic blood in their urine. Whenever my mom has actual visual blood in her urine, it usually is a warning sign that the cancer is back. I think you need to trust your gut instincts. If you are worried that the cancer has returned, then you need to find a doctor that you trust. Your doctor should be able to send out your urine to check for cancer cells. He also can take a look at your bladder(cystoscopy) to see if there are any tumors or any areas that look inflamed. A biopsy can be done at this point, if needed.
I would not wait any longer. Stress and worrying is not good for cancer. Insist that your doctor send out your urine and do a cystoscopy. Good Luck!

Had my last cysto in April and urine was clear and no tumors. I go again in August. I told my doctor that I still have light blood as I call it not actually blood but I know the difference. He said well it is either from the turbt I had in November 8 months ago or another tumor is about to come up. What do you all think of this? I have already been to 2 doctors and the first one said I needed another turbt and I got a second opinion and that doctor I have now says no. I am really confused when I feel that something is going on. Isn't 8 months too long to be bleeding still. My first doctor said there was blood in urine second one said no.

I know all about the beets thing.
I had very dark urine a couple of times and I called my primary care Dr and he did a battery of tests and found some blood.
That started a chain of tests and a visit to my urologist. The beets added color but there was blood. So I am going to have the MRI and then we'll do some more watching.

I guess the watchword is Verify and be watchful of anything unusual.

So the beets strikes terror into another victim.......... Very interesting
